17 by 17 Its all to do with square numbers so 17 x 17 = 289. Just square root it and you get 17

The jigsaw puzzle pieces can be arranged in a 17 by 17 grid because the square root of 289 is 17, ensuring an equal number of pieces in each row and column. ;

You can arrange the 289 jigsaw puzzle pieces in a grid of 17 rows and 17 columns, as the square root of 289 is 17. This ensures that each row and column will have an equal number of pieces. Therefore, the pieces can be neatly organized in a square formation.
