The student-to-teacher ratio is 15:3. If there are 90 teachers at the school, how many students are there?

Answer (3)

90/3 = 30 30*15=450 Students
To check: 15:3 (divide by three) 5:1 So should be five times as many students. 90*5=450 :) Hope this helps :)

15 x + 3 x = 90 18 x = 90 x = 5 15 x = 15 ⋅ 5 = 75

There are 450 students at the school, calculated from the student-to-teacher ratio of 15:3 with 90 teachers. Using the simplified ratio of 5:1, we find that each teacher corresponds to 5 students. Therefore, multiplying 90 teachers by 5 gives us 450 students.
