A multiplication problem
Find the two-number product, if the first number equals 0.2 and the second number equals 3
Let
x-------------> the first number
y------------> the second number
we know that
x = 0.20 y = 3
the product is equal to x ∗ y
so
x ∗ y = 0.20 ∗ 3 = 0.60
The product is between 0.05 and 0.75
The product is the result of two numbers being multiplied together. A product between 0.05 and 0.75 is 0.4, which can be made by 0.2 x 2.
To form a multiplication problem with a product between 0.05 and 0.75, we can multiply 0.2 by 3.5. This results in a product of 0.7, which is within the desired range.
