Why was Mesopotamia easy to invade?

Mesopotamia was susceptible to invasion because it was located in such a vulnerable, open area. There were no mountains surrounding it from invaders, so enemies could easily get in the great empires that thrived off of the very fertile land. Many people wanted to invade because of the fertile land and easy access to the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. Hope it helped! :()

**Mesopotamia **was easy to invade because of its geographic accessibility, flat terrain with few natural defenses, and its agricultural richness and strategic location which made it an attractive target for invasions. ;

Mesopotamia was easy to invade due to its geographic location between rivers that provided easy access, lack of natural defenses, and agricultural wealth. Its flat terrain made it vulnerable to various civilizations seeking to expand their territories. The history of numerous invasions by groups like the Akkadians and Babylonians further emphasizes its susceptibility to conquest.
