In another words we have to compare 1/12 and 0.08 We know that 0.08 can be write as 100 8 = 100 : 4 8 : 4 = 25 2 To compare 2 fraction we have to make common denominator of them. 12 1 = 12 ∗ 25 1 ∗ 25 = 300 25 25 2 = 25 ∗ 12 2 ∗ 12 = 300 24 Now we see that 1/12 is greater, so he spend more on advertising than taxes and fees.

2 7/12 (2 7/12 = 2.583333...), 2.59, 2.7
Brian spends more on advertising. 1/12=0.083 (advertising) > 0.08 (taxes)

The order from least to greatest is 2 \frac{7}{12}, 2.59, 2.7. We converted each number to decimals to facilitate comparison. The decimal equivalent of 2 \frac{7}{12} is approximately 2.5833.
