Ayana has 220 coins in her piggy bank. Of those, 40% are pennies. Out of the coins that are not pennies, 25% are quarters. How many of the coins are quarters?

First, found out how many coins are pennies and subtract that from the first 220. Note 40% is .40 times the amount 220 * .40 = 88 pennies 220 - 88 = 132 other coins Of these remaining 132 coins 25% are quarters, so calculate this to find the answer: 132 * .25 = 33 quarters!
