How do you write [tex]\frac{9}{18}[/tex] as an equivalent fraction?

There are many ways. 18 9 ​ is actually the same as 2 1 ​ so anything you do just has to have a numerator exactly half as the denominator. So one that would work is 36 18 ​ I just doubled both numbers. Other ones would be 10 5 ​ an d 12 6 ​ all of which the numerator is exactly half the denominator.
